My Top 5 Games This Year

Instead of the usual Friday games post todays post is all the best online games I've played this year. I hope you enjoy this pile of games as much as I did.


1 - Bloons Tower Defense 3

Without a doubt my favourite game this year as Bloons Tower Defense returned for a third outing in brilliant style. Lots of different levels and three difficulty options makes this playable for everyone.



2 - Colorfill

Fill 80% of the stage with colours while avoiding collisions with enemies in this very addictive game. Avoid collisions with enemies while your cursor is extending, trap enemies inside colours but avoid trapping them in their own colours.



3 - Vectoroids

A modern twist on the classic Asteroids. Zap everything that moves and collect power-ups in this frantic shooter. Another very addictive game.




4 - Quick Fire Pool

Far and away the best flash version of pool I've ever played. Pot as many balls as you can before your time runs out. Gain more time with each ball you pot but you lose a substantial amount of time if you pot the white.


5 - Lexulous

Earlier this year the site let you play the universally loved game of Scrabble online against other opponents or computer opponents. As it's not run by the company who owns Scrabble they were subject to legal action over copyright issues but the game carried on by removing the word Scrabble from the site, changing the layout of the board and giving you 8 letters instead of the usual 7. Gary, Joanne and I have used the "play by email" version continuously for months now.
