Portugal break England hearts

Oh dear.England go out of EURO 2004 on penalties....again.We can moan all we like about penalties and dodgy refs but we just were'nt good enough. We were second best all night. You can't expect an English team to defend a one goal lead for 88 minutes with 8 at the back and leave two forwards isolated 50 yards from the rest.I thought it would be our defence that would get us knocked out not our midfield.Everyone in the middle of the park for us was crap! The stars of the night were most of our defence with Cole just shading the man of the match from Campbell.Once again Beckham was rubbish, he has carried the England team by himself for the last four years so i suppose he can be excused a couple of below par games now and again but his performance last night was in excusable. He just did'nt seem interested. You would expect a bit more from the captain especially the amount of tackles that he bottled out of
The BBC's player ratings say it all really.I pretty much agree with what they say although Lampards 7/10 was being a bit kind because he was as bad as Beckham,Scholes and Gerrard who got 5's and 6's out of 10.
Golden Balls indeed!

Backmasking is the art of hiding messages in audio by dubbing backwards messages into a recording. It began in the early 80's with a band called Judas Priest. In a famous court case involving one of their songs, Beyond Realms, Judas Priest was charged with subliminally persuading a kid to commit suicide. The message was heard by playing their record backwards. Clicky here for more.
